Bandsaw Blades for Custom Fabrication and Welding Shops

Fab shops cut more feet of mild steel than anyone: tube for frames, flat bar for brackets, angle for everything. The right blade here is the one with the lowest real cost per cut that still leaves a square face ready for fit-up. That is what we spec, weld in Hamilton, and ship across Canada.

What Slows These Shops Down

Volume on a budget

Hundreds of cuts a week in ordinary steel. The Sprint Plus line delivers German quality at a price built for exactly this work.

Square cuts save weld wire

A drifting blade leaves gaps that get filled with weld metal and grinding time. Fresh sharp blades at the right tension keep joints tight.

Every saw is different

Fab shops run whatever saw came with the building. We weld any loop length, so your Ellis, Hyd-Mech, or no-name import gets a proper blade.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my blade cutting crooked?

Dull blade, low tension, or worn guides, in that order of likelihood. If a new blade at proper tension still drifts, the guides need attention; our millwrights can sort the saw. Never push a dull blade harder to keep it cutting straight.

How long should a blade last in a fab shop?

On clean mild steel with the right pitch and feed, months of daily cutting is normal for Sprint Plus. If you are changing blades weekly, something is wrong with the spec or the saw, and either one is fixable.

Can you beat the blades from the welding supply counter?

On cost per cut, almost always. Counter blades are generic stock lengths; ours are German Arntz coil welded to your exact saw. Try one blade and compare cuts. Simple as that.
