The Sprint-Plus is a true multipurpose blade. It handles solid rounds and squares (small to large), rectangular sections, sheet and panel stock, round tubes (standard, thin-wall, and heavy-walled), tube bundles, square tubing, and aluminium profiles. It's designed for steel manufacturing, recycling, foundries, and general fabrication.
A bi-metal blade combines two metals: a flexible spring steel backing band with M42 high-speed steel tooth tips. The backing flexes around the saw wheels without cracking, while the cobalt-alloyed M42 tips resist extreme heat and stay sharp far longer than carbon steel teeth. The result is significantly longer blade life and cleaner cuts across a wide range of materials.
Yes. Every Arntz Sprint-Plus blade we sell is custom loop-welded in-house at our Hamilton, Ontario facility to your machine's exact loop length. We do not sell stock lengths — each blade is made to order. Just enter your machine's loop length in inches or millimetres in the configurator above, and we'll weld it to spec.
The Sprint-Plus is available in eight width/thickness combinations: 20×0.90mm (¾"×.035"), 27×0.90mm (1"×.035"), 34×1.10mm (1¼"×.042"), 41×1.30mm (1½"×.050"), 54×1.30mm (2"×.050"), 54×1.60mm (2"×.063"), 67×1.60mm (2⅝"×.063"), and 80×1.60mm (3"×.063"). Tooth pitch options range from 0.75/1.25 TPI up to 18 TPI, with both 10° positive rake and 0° neutral rake options depending on width and application.
Tooth pitch depends on the cross-section you're cutting. Use coarser pitches (0.75/1.25 or 2/3 TPI) for large, solid sections. Use finer pitches (10/14, 14, or 18 TPI) for thin-wall tubing and small profiles. The 10° positive rake options cut more aggressively, while the 0° neutral rake options are better for thin walls and harder materials. You want at least 3 teeth engaged in the material at all times.
