Arntz SPRINT-PRO M51 Bandsaw Blade — The Versatile Workhorse for Difficult Materials

Next

When your shop cuts a wide mix of materials — from solid rounds and squares to special alloys and heavy-walled tubing — you need a blade that handles all of it without constant swaps. The Arntz SPRINT-PRO (Article 531) is that blade. Built with M51 high-speed steel tooth tips and a classic variable-tooth design, it delivers long service life across the broadest range of applications in the Arntz lineup.

What Makes the SPRINT-PRO Different

The SPRINT-PRO sits in the Advanced tier of the Arntz bandsaw blade range — above entry-level bi-metals but purpose-built for general production cutting of difficult materials. Three things set it apart:

  • Classic tooth geometry — a proven design that suits general-purpose cutting across steel manufacturing and precision metal working applications.
  • Variable tooth design — alternating tooth pitch produces smoother cuts with less vibration, protecting both the blade and your workpiece surface finish.
  • M51 HSS tooth tips — powder metallurgically produced M51 steel delivers superior hardness and wear resistance compared to M42, meaning longer blade life between changes.

Six Widths, Six Tooth Pitches

The SPRINT-PRO covers more width and TPI combinations than almost any other blade in the Arntz catalogue. Available from 27×0.90mm (1"×.035") up to 80×1.60mm (3"×.063"), it fits machines from smaller shop bandsaws to large production saws. Tooth pitch options range from 0.75/1.25 TPI for large cross-sections down to 5/8 TPI for smaller stock — with 1.4/2, 2/3, 3/4, and 4/6 in between.

What It Cuts

The SPRINT-PRO is rated for six material categories:

  • Large solid rounds
  • Large solid squares
  • Special alloy solids (aerospace grades, stainless, tool steels)
  • Large rectangular stock
  • Very large rectangular stock
  • Heavy-walled round tubing

This makes it a natural fit for steel service centres, aerospace subcontractors, tool-and-die shops, and any production environment cutting a variety of difficult cross-sections.

SPRINT-PRO vs. Other Arntz M51 Blades

Arntz offers several M51 blades, each optimized for different applications:

  • The X-PRO uses an aggressive tooth geometry for structural steel and fabrication — fewer width options but more aggressive penetration.
  • The X-PRO MAX has an extra-heavy set design specifically for steel construction — wide-flange beams and heavy-walled sections with high residual stress.
  • The SPRINT-PRO takes the classic, versatile approach — more widths, more TPI options, and a tooth geometry designed to perform well across the widest range of materials and cross-sections.

If your shop runs one type of material all day, a specialist blade like the X-PRO or X-PRO MAX may edge it out. But if you cut mixed materials and need one reliable blade that does it all, the SPRINT-PRO is the answer.

R-Tech Option

For blades 1½" to 3" wide, Arntz offers the R-Tech option — a customized backing material tuned to your specific sawing application. Ask us about R-Tech when you order.
