German Engineered M51 Bi-Metal

ARNTZX-PRO

Premium structural steel & fabrication blade

The Arntz X-PRO delivers enhanced wear resistance and longer blade life through its powder metallurgically produced M51 high-speed steel cutting edge. M51 maintains hardness at higher cutting temperatures than standard M42, preventing premature tip dulling and providing improved edge retention for consistent, high-quality cuts over extended periods. From solid rounds and square bar stock to structural beams, channels, angles, and bundled tubing — the X-PRO handles the full range of steel construction profiles with one versatile blade.

Why Fabricators Choose the X-PRO

M51 HSS Cutting Edge

Powder metallurgically produced M51 high-speed steel maintains hardness at higher cutting temperatures than standard M42, preventing premature tip dulling during demanding cuts.

Enhanced Wear Resistance

The M51 edge creates exceptional hardness and wear resistance, allowing the X-PRO to outlast standard bi-metal blades in heavy structural and fabrication cutting.

Improved Edge Retention

Consistent, high-quality cuts over extended periods — the M51 tooth tips hold their edge longer, reducing blade changes and downtime.

Versatile Profile Cutting

Handles solid rounds, squares, special alloys, bundled tubes, structural beams, channels, and angles — one blade for the full range of steel construction profiles.

Built for Structural Steel & Fabrication

Application Tier

The X-PRO's M51 high-speed steel cutting edge gives it a clear advantage over standard M42 bi-metal blades — enhanced wear resistance, higher temperature hardness, and improved edge retention. It handles the full spectrum of steel construction profiles: solid rounds and squares, special alloy steels, bundled tubing, structural beams, channels, and angles. One versatile blade for steel service centres and fabrication shops cutting diverse materials.

Frequently Asked Questions

The X-PRO is designed for cutting a wide range of structural steel and fabrication profiles — solid rounds, square and rectangular bar stock, special alloy steels, bundled tubing, structural beams, channels, and angles. Its M51 cutting edge and professional-grade design make it ideal for steel service centres and fabrication shops handling diverse materials.
The X-PRO uses M51 high-speed steel tooth tips instead of M42. M51 is a powder metallurgically produced material that maintains hardness at higher cutting temperatures, offers enhanced wear resistance, and provides improved edge retention. This means longer blade life and more consistent cuts, especially in demanding applications.
M51 is a powder metallurgically produced high-speed steel used for the cutting edge of bi-metal bandsaw blades. Compared to standard M42, M51 maintains its hardness at higher cutting temperatures, preventing premature tip dulling. This translates to enhanced wear resistance, improved edge retention, and longer blade life in heavy cutting applications.
Yes. Every Arntz X-PRO blade we sell is custom loop-welded in-house at our Hamilton, Ontario facility to your machine's exact loop length. We do not sell stock lengths — each blade is made to order.
The X-PRO is available in four width/thickness combinations: 41×1.30mm (1½"×.050"), 54×1.30mm (2"×.050"), 54×1.60mm (2"×.063"), and 67×1.60mm (2⅝"×.063"). All widths offer both 2/3 and 3/4 TPI variable tooth pitch. Use 2/3 TPI for larger cross-sections and 3/4 TPI for smaller profiles.
Most custom-welded blades ship within 1–2 business days from our Hamilton facility. We keep Arntz blade coil stock on hand in all standard widths, so turnaround is fast. For urgent production needs, call us directly and we'll do our best to accommodate same-day welding.
