Frequently Asked Questions

When blade life is the bottleneck. Both cut hard alloys; the SL-9's enhanced carbide grade and chrome backer are built for longer sustained production life. For occasional hard cuts the TC is plenty; for all-shift hard alloy sawing the SL-9 earns its price.
It performs best on one. Like most premium carbide bands it wants solid clamping, good tension, and steady feed. If your machine is a lighter shop saw, look at the BLACK-LINE S, which is built to tolerate less rigid machines.
